What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese word representing the principle of Universal Life Energy. It is a gentle form of energy work that can be done by lightly laying the hands on the body or over the body. Reiki promotes healing by activating the relaxation response and helping the body to balance itself. It supports physical, mental, and emotional healing. Reiki must be experienced to be understood. It cannot be grasped solely on the intellectual level. Reiki works to balance the chakras, also known as wheels of energy. These are wheels of energy that never stop churning – all the chakras work together to help us live a fulfilled life as each chakra is associated with different element, organs, ailments, emotions, etc.

A Self-Care Reiki Experience

In an individual Reiki session with Carrie, clients will rest comfortably on a massage table during the session as she guides you into a relaxed state and intuitively listens to your energy while offering healing. Clients report leaving a session feeling clear headed, refreshed, rebalanced, inspired, and rested.

Sessions are offered in 75 minute time blocks to allow time and space for determining what your needs are before your session and integration after your session. Carrie can also create a custom experience for you that would include some yoga, breathwork, and Reiki.
