Restorative Yoga at Home

Gather up all the things in your home that you would use to make a fort and get to resting! These 6 videos by Self-Care with Carrie will let you know what you need to gather from your home to set yourself in some really supportive yoga postures. These shapes are designed to allow you some quiet time and deep rest. Restorative Yoga is a practice that can facilitate deep healing by initiating a relaxation response to become aware of where tension is held in the body, releasing that tension, and to restore our bodies to homeostasis. If you’re short on time, you can do one pose at a time with the videos below or keep scrolling to the last one and you can do a full 50 minute practice.

Pick a video, set yourself up, then turn on this playlist and rest for 10-20 minutes in each pose or however long you need. Do one pose today or do them all! This will bring balance to your workouts or your active yoga practice. Give yourself a chance to do nothing - like really do nothing. Not Netflix, not Instagram, not reading, not cooking, not sleeping… absolutely nothing.
