A Midsummer Rest: Restorative Yoga for Self-Care

Sink into a cooling, nourishing evening of self-care with Restorative Yoga. The focus of the practice is to support the body for the mind and heart to find a state of ease.

These hot and busy summer days can leave us joyful and exhausted. This evening will allow you space to do nothing but focus on caring for yourself and resting!

Restorative Yoga can foster feelings of safety and security within ourselves, rather than fully relying on external factors. During this restful practice, you may find yourself in a meditative state where your body is deeply relaxed, but your mind is aware and clear. If there is a lot to unwind in the nervous system, revisiting Restorative Yoga practices can forge new pathways for greater mental and somatic ease over time.

The Restorative Yoga postures are passive and will be held for long periods of time (up to 20 minutes) to give you time to unwind. After resting for some time, the body may be cool so bring your favorite cozy socks and sweatshirt. This class is suitable for all levels of yoga.
