Breathing into Being: A Practice of Pranayama and Deep Rest with Carrie Dennison and Alicia Barmon

  • Roots & River Yoga (map)

Join Alicia and Carrie in sacred community, to breathe, rest and become more fully human. The intention of this practice is to offer a soft place to land in this crazy world. You will be guided into gentle breathwork followed by restorative yoga - a practice of breathing your way into being.

“There is some kind of a sweet innocence in being human - in not having to be just happy or just sad - in the nature of being able to be both broken and whole, at the same time.” - C. JoyBell C

Breathwork is best practice with a relatively empty stomach. Please only eat lightly that day and ideally not eat for 2 hours before the class, if possible.

Bring a journal, pen and your tender hearts.

No yoga experience is required. If you are a human looking for a safe space to connect with yourself and others, this practice is for you.

You will be held with exquisite care by your guides Alicia Barmon and Carrie Dennison.

As a yoga therapist, psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, Alicia uses the breath to support healing with her clients in their journey to feeling their health and wholeness.

As a yoga teacher and Reiki Master, Carrie uses rest as an antidote to the stress-related symptoms we experience from our fast-paced culture. She guides her students into the array of gifts that stillness has to offer.
