When your nerves are frayed and you feel impending burnout, it's yoga to the rescue! Breathing techniques (pranayama) and Restorative Yoga are the perfect combination to help you create the calm your body, mind, and soul is craving. In this 3-week series, Carrie will guide you through some gentle movement and various breath techniques to prepare you for rest. Each practice closes with the sweet support of Restorative Yoga postures to deepen your connection to the quiet side of your nervous system.
You will need the following props:
3-5 blankets or large towels (or 3 blankets or towels and two small pillows, such as throw pillows)
2 yoga blocks (4-inch blocks preferred or 3 stacks of large books)
1 bolster like this (or 2 firm bed pillows or 1 couch cushion)
