Loving Kindness

Happy New Moon! During the last full moon cycle, I mentioned some of the practices that were supporting me in keeping an open mind and not getting stuck in the cycles of old patterns of scarcity. If you missed the pratipakṣa bhāvana meditation about exploring the opposites, check it out here. I am still holding my intention of abundance for this moon cycle.

Loving Kindness is another meditation that helps me connect with the abundance of loving energy that exists in this world. I come back to this time and time again to offer myself the love I deserve, to offer love to those I struggle to connect with and understand, and to offer love to those closest to me in my life. As I sense the division and separation created in our world, the Loving Kindness Meditation offers me moments of peace, a softening of my heart, and expansiveness into the interconnection and support of all of us.

A Practice For You:: Metta Meditation

This Metta Meditation (Loving Kindness) practice has its roots in Buddhist teachings that originated in India over 2,500 years ago. At the heart of this practice is mantra (a tool for the mind) that reverberates unconditional kindness to oneself and others.

Self-Care & Svādhyāya (Self-Study)

What is your relationship with yourself looking like lately? How did it feel to offer yourself some loving kindness? Easy, difficult, neutral?

If you’re looking for guidance on cultivating kindness towards yourself the way you can easily offer kindness to others, let’s chat! I often find my clients are looking to learn to be their own friends. Part of the work I do is to help you see yourself as someone that deserves your own care, can welcome the parts of you that are struggling instead of pushing them away, and loving yourself as the imperfect, messy, hurting, and loving human you are!
